 ISTANBUL, TURKEY —

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen marked his return from injury by providing an assist for Mario Lemina as Galatasaray secured a 3-1 victory over Kasımpaşa in the Turkish Süper Lig.

The Nigerian forward’s comeback will be welcome news for Galatasaray supporters and Nigerian football fans after his spell on the sidelines.

Osimhen and Lemina had both been recovering from groin-related injuries and were included in Galatasaray’s matchday squad for Friday’s encounter.

 OSIMHEN MAKES HIS RETURN

Osimhen’s return adds another attacking option for Galatasaray as the Turkish champions continue their league campaign. The striker has made an impressive start to the season, scoring six goals in his first four Süper Lig appearances before the injury interruption. His ability to create chances as well as score goals remains an important part of Galatasaray’s attack. Providing an assist in his first appearance back would be an encouraging sign as he works towards regaining full match fitness.

 LEMINA ALSO MAKES AN IMPACT

Lemina’s contribution to the victory further underlined his importance to the team. The Gabonese midfielder has previously combined effectively with Osimhen, including in Galatasaray’s Champions League victory over Liverpool earlier in 2026, when the Nigerian helped set up Lemina’s winning header. The reported assist against Kasımpaşa gives the pair another positive moment together following their injury setbacks.

 A BOOST FOR GALATASARAY

The 3-1 result gives Galatasaray an important boost as they look to maintain their challenge in the Turkish top flight. For Nigeria, Osimhen’s return is also encouraging news, given his importance to the Super Eagles and his role as one of the country’s leading attacking players. Supporters will now hope he can remain fit and build momentum in the matches ahead.

NaijaParrot will continue to follow Victor Osimhen’s performances in Turkey and report further developments.
