FAMILY CONFIRMS DEATH OF GOSPEL SINGER TOLUWANISINGS

 IBADAN, OYO STATE — The family of Nigerian gospel singer Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings, has confirmed his death, sending shockwaves through the gospel music community and among his fans. In a statement shared on his social media account on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, the family announced that the singer died in the early hours of the day.

The statement described him as a beloved husband, family member and gospel minister associated with Toluwani Gospel Music Ministry (TOGOMM).

 “With deep sorrow, the family announces the passing of Minister Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji,” the statement said, while appealing to the public to keep his wife, relatives and loved ones in their prayers during this difficult period. 

 The family added that details of his funeral arrangements would be announced in due course. 

As of Thursday, October 15, the cause of his death had not been officially disclosed by the family. News of the singer’s passing has triggered an outpouring of grief on social media, with gospel artistes, entertainment personalities and fans expressing shock and mourning the loss of a minister whose music touched many listeners. 

 Human rights lawyer Pelumi Olajengbesi also expressed sadness over the development, describing the loss as painful and calling for prayers amid concerns over the deaths of young Nigerians. 

 Toluwanisings was known for his gospel music ministry and worship performances. 

His death has left many admirers mourning as they await further information from his family.
